The season is just about to start, and already there's some good news for Val Thorens 09 season. The bar chain, Dick's Tea bar, famous for its first outlet in Val d'Isere is opening a new bar in Val Thorens, in what used to be the Underground nightclub. This is a welcome addition to the nightclub of Val Thorens and it will mean that the Peclet area (the bar area in easy walking distance from our apartment) is the best area in the resort, with Dicks' and The Frog & Roastbeef. It's worth mentioning here that the flat is totally shielded from all bar noise - the flat overlooks the slopes, some distance away from the bars - but it's only a couple minutes walk from the main entrance. The Dick's Tea bar website suggests they have conducted a total refurbishment of the Underground pub, so we're looking forward to proper Apres-Ski, coctails and dancing this season!
